Buckethead is a short creative documentary currently being filmed on location at Tain Air Weapons Range with permission from the UK Defence Training Estate.  Buckethead is currently self-funded and produced but I aim to complete filming by Summer 2026.

The film follows a lonely scarecrow-type figure, with a red bucket head and red flag hands, tramping across a desolate, post-apocalyptic landscape.  Along the way they come across abandoned buildings and vehicles as well as other figures on bikes.

The film was inspired by the fake village and human-like figures created by staff at the Range as targets for military aircraft training and ground manoeuvres.  I first came across these in 2020 and they left a huge impression on me. Having tried – and failed – over the years to find the buckethead figures again, I decided to make myself into a buckethead and go in search of my tribe.
